Fortress Personal Mausoleums was founded in 1998 in Pascagoula, MS. The company's founder, Don Magallanes, wanted to create a company that did not just sell mausoleums, but saw to all aspects of the customer's purchase, from production to installation. Since our founding, we have expanded our business to include most of the United States. Despite our tremendous growth, we still pride ourselves in being a family-owned business that cares about each of its customers. Our goal has remained the same: to manufacture, deliver, and install our mausoleums with the utmost regard for quality and customer satisfaction, anywhere in the world.

Don and Faith still reside in Pascagoula, MS, where they have five children and one grandchild (with one on the way!). Don is the son of Ray and Bonnie Magallanes. Ray is a retired Army pilot who served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. During Vietnam, his plane was shot down; miraculously, he and all others on board survived.

Faith was a local school teacher for 26 years before retiring and going to work full time for Fortress Mausoleums. Faith is the youngest of 9 children and has lived in Pascagoula all of her life. Don and Faith actually live in the house in which Faith was born!
